I’ve been hard at work today recording the audio for the Queering the Runes course, and I wanted to share a little something with all of you.
I’ve intentionally designed the “Queering the Runes” course to be mostly recorded, but also partially live. I know that I tend to get so much more out of an online course when I can interact with the other students and the teacher. So of course there’s a part of my discord server that I’m designing for students to use, and I wanted to have plenty of Q&A sessions.
But I ALSO realized that I wanted to build in places where I can share my ongoing research, and those may change as the years go on.
So what is the live schedule for this round of course? I’m glad you asked!

- Wednesday, January 29th 2025: Material for the first section, “Context Clues,” Drops
- Sunday, February 2nd at 7pm CST: Group Ritual for Runic Immersion
- Wednesday, February 12th at 7pm CST: Lecture: The World of the Runes
- Thursday, February 13th: The Runes: Elder Futhark Online Material Drops
- Sunday, February 23: Office Hours open for appointment: 4-9pm
- Sunday, February 23: Final sections of the course drop
- Wednesday, February 26: Lecture: Working with Runes in an Animist Paradigm
- Sunday, March 16: Office Hours open for appointment: 4-9pm
- Wednesday, March 19n at 7pm CST: Divination Praxis and Q&A
- Wednesday, April 2 at 7pm CST: Rune Magic Praxis and Q&A
- Sunday, April 13th at 7pm CST: Closing Ritual and Social Hour
