Queering the Runes Course Schedule Release

Troll Brev.

Oh my goodness, January FLEW by!

I've been busily writing and recording lectures behind the scenes for the course, and with everything going on in the world it has been hard for me to balance talking about how excited I am for this course with the actual writing of the course.

I'm absolutely falling in love with this course model. The Queering the Runes course will be a mixture of live sessions as well as recorded. The base lectures - all of the lectures on the runes, as well as the framing lectures - will be recorded. However, I know that a very important way that people can learn is through talking with other students, as well as asking questions.

So I've created a schedule of live lectures, as well as office hours where you can schedule an appointment with me, and Q&A sessions.

Today, I'm happy to announce the live session schedule for the Winter 2025 session of the Course!

Queering the Runes Live Events:

Wednesday, January 29th 2025: Material for the first section, "Context Clues," Drops

Sunday, February 2nd at 7pm CST: Group Ritual for Runic Immersion

Wednesday, February 12th at 7pm CST: Lecture: The World of the Runes

Thursday, February 13th: The Runes: Elder Futhark Online Material Drops

Sunday, February 23: Office Hours open for appointment: 4-9pm

Sunday, February 23: Final sections of the course drop

Wednesday, February 26: Lecture: Working with Runes in an Animist Paradigm

Sunday, March 16: Office Hours open for appointment: 4-9pm

Wednesday, March 19n at 7pm CST: Divination Praxis and Q&A

Wednesday, April 2 at 7pm CST: Rune Magic Praxis and Q&A

Sunday, April 13th at 7pm CST: Closing Ritual and Social Hour

Lectures will be recorded, but Office Hours and Q&A sessions will not. In the case of post-lecture Q&A, it will all be recorded for simplicity. In future iterations of the course, there will be additional research topic lectures added as my own research and growth develops.

So: Are you in? Register ASAP!

Not sure if you want to sign up for the course? That's why I've scheduled a 2-hour Intro to Queering the Runes WORKSHOP! It's happening this coming Saturday from 11am - 1pm CST. At only $25, this is a great way to gauge whether the full course is a good fit for you.

Troll Brev. once again I have too many thoughts pre-s: I have a really exciting announcement regarding the Chaos and Cunning podcast! Read to the end for more. I originally began writing this newsletter last summer, but put it down for a variety of reasons. It's definitely still relevant, but has taken a turn with the developments in technology. Hello there: I don't know how and why occultists keep doing this, but we keep falling into the pit of believing that the most badass, effective magic...

Have you ever been curious about Norse runes - but unsure if you would be welcomed by runecasters? Are you interested in tapping into the Web of Wyrd and learning more about fate and seership from a Norse perspective? Are you queer as hell and not interested in learning from someone who won't recognize your identity? This is the rune...

Troll Brev. Just a few resources on heathenry + the Far Right Hello everyone - I'm writing today because now that I'm back from Mystic South I'm preparing my talk on white supremacy in heathenry for the Salem Witch Festival. Which also means that I'm looking at a bunch of different resources that I want to pass along to you in case you are also doing some research in this area. Some of these will be links directly to the resource, others will be more like a bibliography note. (And before we...
