A Quick May Update

Troll Brev.

A "meanwhile" kind of newsletter

Pre-S: You've only got until Sunday, May 4 to sign up for my May classes through the Fellowship of Fire and Ice! You can register here.

And read till the end to get a special Beltane coupon at Lore!

Thank you so much to everyone who took my audience survey last week! I'm so thankful for the thoughtful answers people gave for my questions. I'm still processing the things I've learned, but I wanted to let you know just how much I appreciate all of you.

It's given me some exciting new ideas, and I'm diligently working on those behind the scenes but am not quite ready to make any announcements about them yet. But that will be coming soon.

Overall, it was validating to see that the primary places that y'all like keeping in touch with me these days are BlueSky and Discord, because those are the two places that I enjoy hanging out in the most. I will still keep an Instagram but update it sparingly - and with all the AI scraping Meta is doing, I'll be careful what stuff I put there of substance.

As for paid rewards, people really love the Community Supported Magic which I'm already doing! As for new rewards that folks were interested in, most people were really interested in a nonfiction book club, so I'm going to be starting one in June! More details on that soon.

Coming Up In May: Introductory Classes

I'm so excited to be back and teaching classes on Heathenry through the Fellowship of Fire and Ice! Class starts next week and I'm SO thrilled!

I'm also very honored to be among this group of teachers. There are some other incredible classes that are still open for registration, including Intro to Nordic Ritual with Ryan Smith, Intro to Nordic Magic and Mysticism with Raven Rissy, and Fundamentals of Utiseta with Raven Rissy. Registration is open until two days before the class is scheduled to start.

Intro to Norse Paganism

Tuesdays May 6 - 27
6pm PST, 8pm CST

This course is a good introduction to Norse Paganism more generally. We will cover what makes heathenry distinct from other forms of paganism, some of the basic tenets and beliefs of heathenry, and move gently into this spiritual world.

Intro to Elder Futhark

Wednesdays May 7 - 28
6pm PST, 8pm CST

This is a four week introduction to the Elder Futhark. We'll cover some of the history of the Elder Futhark, how the alphabet developed, why we can use it for divination, and cover some of the basic meanings of the runes.

I'll have more updates and even an essay for you soon, but I think that's all for now. I must run and continue to work on my classes.

See you next week!

Troll Brev. once again I have too many thoughts pre-s: I have a really exciting announcement regarding the Chaos and Cunning podcast! Read to the end for more. I originally began writing this newsletter last summer, but put it down for a variety of reasons. It's definitely still relevant, but has taken a turn with the developments in technology. Hello there: I don't know how and why occultists keep doing this, but we keep falling into the pit of believing that the most badass, effective magic...

Troll Brev. Today is the LAST DAY to register for this round of Queering the Runes! Journey to the heart of the Nordic oracle, and journey deep into yourself. Have you ever been curious about Norse runes - but unsure if you would be welcomed by runecasters? Are you interested in tapping into the Web of Wyrd and learning more about fate and seership from a Norse perspective? Are you queer as hell and not interested in learning from someone who won't recognize your identity? This is the rune...

Troll Brev. Just a few resources on heathenry + the Far Right Hello everyone - I'm writing today because now that I'm back from Mystic South I'm preparing my talk on white supremacy in heathenry for the Salem Witch Festival. Which also means that I'm looking at a bunch of different resources that I want to pass along to you in case you are also doing some research in this area. Some of these will be links directly to the resource, others will be more like a bibliography note. (And before we...
